In February of 2002, I ventured out on the internet and ran across Paltalk. To my surprise, I was shocked to see people playing music, dancing and having a good time. At that particular time I was a regular chatter in Talk City Ebony 40 plus, which is basically text chat. Being able to have a mic and the ability to share music with one another was new to me. It was like taking a country girl to the city.
I immediately went back to Talk City and grabbed up some of my friends such as MsLove, MissDloez, LadyM, Sexydat, MissiefromNY, Cocoa, Raynae, Lux, MsCee, and a few others and opened up a temporary room. The Womans Touch ran across us and joined us. Nubienne, also a fellow chatter found us and helped us to understand Paltalk.
I then opened a permanent room which exists today and is growing rapidly. I saw an opportunity for people of our age group to have the opportunity to meet and mingle. I saw the opportunity for people who have such stressful and tedious jobs, such as myself to have a place to relieve that stress. I saw the opportunity for people who work different shifts, such as myself, to have a place to hang out after work. I saw the opportunity for people who have a lot of problems in their lives to have a place to go to relieve themselves of their burdens.
I did not accidentally run across Paltalk, I was led here. Inspite of a lot of efforts of many people in the beginning who tried to tear the room down, You can't stop GOD. Sunday mornings are dedicated to God and thanking him for all his blessings and for giving us the opportunity to be able to come together.
This room is not Njoy's room. This room is for all those that want to have fun, drama free. This is your room! The music played in Ebony-40 plus is old school only. We play music from the 50s to the 90s. The reason for this is to keep the old folks together and not have to deal with the drama that comes along with the new music. Therefore it keeps the room with a great atmosphere.
To some this is just a room, but to those that have met their mates in the room, have had burdens lifted off of them, or has gained strength from others, they have different views. No matter what you do in life you cannot satisfy everybody. But if one person benefits from my efforts, I feel my job was well done.
I was not able to do this alone. Special thanks goes out to all of the Admins that has helped to build this room. They also saw the dream. There has been times that I have had knock down drag outs with them, lol. But they stuck right in there with me. I have to go as I am led. Sometimes they think I nuts, but they hang in there with me anyway, I love them all!
The Admins open the doors for everyone to be able to come in the room for which they will be truly blessed. I really don't think they know how important they are. I was blessed with a good crew to help fulfill the dream. Thanks Yall!!! I love ya!
We are being continually blessed with good admins. We even added six more within the past two weeks. I am including a page that will list all of the admins that are presently with Ebony-40plus. They are the best!
Thanks everyone for the time it took to read this. I hope you have a better understanding of what we are about, and wish to join in with us in having a good time. We are not a click, just real people wanting to have real fun.
